When staying at any campsite there
are rules to follow for the safety of fellow campers and
the environment. There are many unwritten rules that
everyone is expected to follow, some call them common sense
rules other say camp etiquette. We at SamsCampgrounds
prefer Camp Etiquette. Please do these things when
camping, they are the right thing to do and are
proper.
- Always check for and follow
posted campground rules.
- If you carry it in,
please carry it out, this will eliminate litter.
- Protect water sources from
contamination.
- Camp in designated campsites
within the campground, some areas may be reserved
for general or public recreation.
- Be a good neighbor - control
your noise and your pets
- When using soaps,
toothpaste, or any chemicals dispose of the
wastewater at least 100 feet away from natural water
sources .
- Be respectful of the natural
environment, clearing of brush and collecting
firewood should not be practiced
- When hiking, stay on
designated trails. keep damage to vegetation
to a minimum
- Campers are
responsible for their pets at all times. Pets should
be on a leash maximum 6 feet in length and
never left unattended. Barking dogs can cause many
problems between campers, dog owners should seriously
consider the appropriateness of their dog in the
campground. Cleaning up after pets are always
required. Dogs swimming in general or public areas
is forbidden in many campgrounds. Check campground
rules before assuming.
- Avoid borrowing tables and equipment
from other sites.
- Quiet Hours are typically
from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Moderation is essential
during these hours
- Before leaving the campsite,
clean your campsite and fire pit for the next
camper.
